Description
The tour starts with a panoramic drive through the plantations, so typical of Salalah and a visit to the Museum of the Land of Frankincense. We will admire the spectacular desertic landscape dotted by ancient frankincense warehouses and triliths, the millenary stone monuments on the frankincense trail. We will reach a Bedouin camp where we will be welcomed to enjoy a traditional dinner around the fire. We will experience the magic of a night in the desert sleeping in a traditional Bedouin tent. We will take the road to the southern plateau crossed by herds of black desert camels and furrowed by deep canyons. We reach the coast at the stunning Fazayah Beach nestled between the mountain cliffs. A Tour for the nature lovers that will visit the most interesting archaeological sites and historical locations of the region.
Route
The route starts from Salalah, and crosses the Dhofari Mountain Range to reach the dunes of the Rub al Khali desert. On the way back to the coast the road runs through the Nejd Plateau. And from Salalah to Mirbat, by the imposing Jebal Samhan.
