What is Included?

Description

We will take you to visit the town of Mirbat, with fishermen who still sails on the traditional boats of the Indian Ocean: the dhow. We will visit the historical fort and the new museum of the city. We will take you to observe the spirituality of a medieval Islamic cemetery. We will stop at the village of Taqa to enter the ancient house of the governor of the city and experience the interior of a traditional Omani home. We will visit the spectacular lagoon of Khor Rori and the archaeological site of Sumhurram (UNESCO site): a port built by the kingdom of Hadramout to control the trade on Indian Ocean. We will go to the beautiful Ayn Razat spring at the foot of the mountain to relax in the shade of tamarind and acacia trees and enjoy our picnic lunch.

Route

The route goes from the city of Salalah to the fishing town of Mirbat, flanking the spectacular mountain of Jabal Samhan that rises 2000 meters only few kilometers from the coast. A road towards the interior will take us to discover the secret water of Salalah.
